What are Unified Screw Caps?
Unified Screw Caps are case hardened, black oxide steel screws used to contain die springs in the assembly of Stamping Dies.
How do Unified Screw Caps work?
Instead of containing the die springs within a blind spring pocket, holes are drilled & tapped in the die set and Unified Screw Caps are inserted to retain die springs.
What are the advantages in using Unified Screw Caps?
Unified Screw Caps eliminates blind spring pockets. This means that individual springs within the die can be changed without having to remove the stripper plate. Should the stripper plate need to be removed, the pressure on the stripper plate can be relieved by unscrewing the Unified Screw Caps from the top of the die set. With this advanced design concept, dies can be assembled & disassembled much more efficiently resulting in fewer damaged or broken punches during die maintenance.
